The 24 Hour Project is a worldwide street photography event, that takes place simultaneously around the globe. 24 hours, from midnight to midnight. Each participant posts one photo per each hour to the collective photo stream on social media, mainly on Instagram.
The theme for the photography is ”Human condition”, as seen through the eyes of the photographer in his/her part of the world and culture. The project also brings awareness to different humanitarian causes, this year the focus is on the refugee situation and the NGO the project aims to help is Lesvos Solidarity, an open solidarity refugee camp in Greece.
Here are some of my shots from this year’s project as I walked the streets of my hometown Helsinki. This year I decided to go with the lightest possible gear to keep things simple, so all these photos were taken and edited on iPhone 7.
